WhatsApp With more than 4, entries, 1, winners and recognition for all young artists, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art Scholastic Art and Writing Competition returns to highlight the talent of local middle and high schoolers. The criteria for judging includes technical skill, originality and personal voice or vision.
Works awarded with a Gold Key are automatically judged at the national level. National Medals are given to students receiving awards at the national level. There are numerous scholarships available at the national level.

Can I submit multiple pieces in one category?
Can I submit both art and writing? You are welcome and encouraged to submit as many pieces you would like in as many categories as you would like. Do NOT submit the same work to multiple categories.
Seniors may submit a work as an individual piece as well as part of a portfolio. We do NOT encourage resubmitting works from previous years unless the work has undergone extensive changes.

The deadline for submissions for NYC students is December 4. Students are strongly encouraged to submit payment online through the Online Registration System through PayPal when submitting artwork. Payment may also be submitted by check.
